About Us

Baxter & Stubbs was founded in 1904 by George Baxter and Albert Stubbs, who were originally journalists with the Star newspaper in Ballarat.

In 1925 George Baxter sold his interests in the business to Albert Stubbs. Robert Inglis, who commenced his apprenticeship in 1941 bought the business in 1957 and it is now run by his son John Inglis, wife Gaye and son Jonathan Inglis. A true family owned business employing local people.

With over 100 years experience, we pride ourselves on delivering the best quality job on time. We have established a diverse range of clients which reflects in the work we produce.

Baxter and Stubbs has created a flexible work ethic with an expandable shift operation. We have an understanding that to exceed our clients expectations, we must achieve a standard well in excess of our competitors.
